“Essentials” is the company’s basic swimwear line, and includes a clean design in a selection of four different colors. Vanwolff’s premium line, “Prey,” includes 14 unique designs utilizing images such as a Seahorse, Piranha and a Serpent. The images are embedded into the fabric and are engineered considering the four-way stretch of the fabric, size and placement of graphics. The swimsuit material is made from a high-end poly-spandex blend that is fade-resistant. All pieces have lining through the entire suit for maximum coverage. Both lines are available in briefs and trunks, and have Vanwolff’s signature “woven-in-cording” designed drawstring. Each suit has a drawstring with fun designs and clever phrases such as “I Promise To Behave This Summer” and “Looking for Trouble.”
Feeling an overall lack of fun and unique designs in the general swimwear industry, was the inspiration to launch Vanwolff. Moving forward, the plans to expand the brand into other aspects of men’s fashion. Vanwollf has been sold to a Australian entrepreneur so new products will be added and some product favorites may return.
