Launched in 2012, Vanwolff is a Los Angeles-based swim and underwear company for men. Founded by Andrew Maxin, Vanwolff products are uniquely created with custom designs. The inaugural 2013 summer lines are “Prey” and “Essentials”. Free Shipping is available worldwide and the products are manufactured in Los Angeles, California.

“Essentials” is the company’s basic swimwear line, and includes a clean design in a selection of four different colors. Vanwolff’s premium line, “Prey,” includes 14 unique designs utilizing images such as a Seahorse, Piranha and a Serpent. The images are embedded into the fabric and are engineered considering the four-way stretch of the fabric, size and placement of graphics. The swimsuit material is made from a high-end poly-spandex blend that is fade-resistant. All pieces have lining through the entire suit for maximum coverage.

Both lines are available in briefs and trunks, and have Vanwolff’s signature “woven-in-cording” designed drawstring. Each suit has a drawstring with fun designs and clever phrases such as "I Promise To Behave This Summer" and "Looking for Trouble.”

Vanwolff is the brainchild of award-winning designer Andrew Maxin. Having resided in Los Angeles for nearly a decade, Maxin is no stranger to the fashion industry, coming from a long line of designers in his family who were the first to bring 'Invisible Mending' to British Columbia in the early 1980s. Maxin has also worked as a senior designer in the music industry, and has been involved in creative campaigns for artists such as Ray Charles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ella Fitzgerald, Evanescence, Peanuts' Vince Guaraldi and soundtracks for Babel, Good Night and Good Luck, and Indiana Jones.

Feeling an overall lack of fun and unique designs in the general swimwear industry, Maxin and his partner Mark Waier, a former Ford model, were inspired to launch Vanwolff.

Most product is manufactured and assembled in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles. Moving forward, Vanwolff plans to expand the brand into all aspects of men’s swimwear and underwear.
